Can you believe Fall clothing has arrived in stores. A part of me is excited because Fall, like most can agree along, is my favorite season to dress for. All the layering and styling options makes getting dressed each morning fun and so much more creative. From the endless boot options to the jackets, blazers, vest, sweaters … you get the idea. There are so many more options to mix and match and show your true personality. However … what I do love about Summer is the simplicity of dressing. Specifically when it’s 95 degrees, aka. feels like 120 degrees and a bathing suit would be more suiting if only that was acceptable. The more accepting and appropriate option would be to throw on a cute dress and sandals and you are good to go. Sometimes It’s nice not to over think every look. The simplicity of summer dressing allows more time for me to spend outside in the sun, enjoying it for all it’s worth rather than in my closet. Obviously the off the shoulder craze got me too. I’ve been wearing them non stop because it’s a fun twist to what would be a basic dress or top. You just can’t […]

Are you a daydreamer? Daydreamers way too often get a bad rep. Like we are walking around with our head in the clouds, thinking about lollipops, unicorns, puppies and rainbows. In my book, a daydreamer is a creative thinker and a fantastic believer. Someone with ambition and always thinking of solutions. Now tell me what’s so wrong with that? Even if some puppies and unicorns make their way in to those daydreams. 😉 I read a quote the other day that inspired me to keep my daydreaming game strong. “Never let it be said that to dream is a waste of one’s time, for dreams are our realities in waiting. In dreams, we plant the seeds to our future.” So true and well said by Dasha Alexandrovna Zhukova. Never stop daydreaming, because those dreams can truly come true with the right ambition, attitude and positive outlook. Who knows what will come out of it! I found this cute boater hat the other week that was the perfect little reminder and inspiration to keep those creative thoughts flowing. Plus this fun, off the shoulder ruffle dress is only $23! Say what?! Doing my best to save some pennies for those dreams I may need to invest in one day … […]

Let’s face it, Summer in DC is hot. Like super freaking hot. So the less clothing I can wear on these hotter than hot days the better. I am a huge fan of wearing dresses, especially in the summer because they look super chic, are easy to wear, breezy and most importantly they keep me cool. I am in love with this red off the shoulder number from Tuckernuck not only because it has me feeling like the red flamingo dancing emoji but because it is also super flattering and comfortable. The off the shoulder look is huge right now and I have found myself adding more and more of these styles to my wardrobe. Best part is that you can wear most of these styles off both shoulders or just one if you are feeling funky. I recently wore this dress during my first on air appearance on Let’s Talk Live DC where I mixed up 4th of July inspired cocktails. I was super nervous about my segment but having the right outfit that I felt confident and comfortable in really helped keep me nerves at bay. Ok, the cocktails helped as well. I also recently wore this look at our […]
