Guest Room Makeover Welp this post is long over due. The makeover, the post, everything, But that’s life as a mom. I weigh my priorities and our poor little guest room was the last on the list when moving in just over a year ago. Fortunately, my husband’s parents were coming to visit for Adaline’s 2nd birthday which gave me the motivation to get in there! I executed from scratch in less than one week and I must say that I am quite impressed with how it turned out considering the little time I had in my days. We still have a lot of work to do including painting the walls and changing out the curtains to shutters but hey, one step at a time. I have potty training a temper mental two year old on the top of the list with a much needed vacation maybe, hopefully somewhere down the road. I wanted to go for a clean, California style look. Fresh crisp white with touches of light pink and green. Of course the guest room also acts as our peloton station so we had to work around it. Tight spaces here in LA, but we do what we […]

More is more this spring with all the trends hitting the runway. I haven’t been this excited for the season’s must haves from the inspiration and colors to the silhouettes and details, all up my fashion alley. So much I felt inspired to share what I’m excited to style this year. Almost as excited as I am for warmer weather. Seriously though. More is More. How so? You like a dramatic sleeve? Give me the largest, billowiest one! Love a fem style but also into menswear? Why not have both in one mixing silk with structure? Over the animal print trend? Try mixing with compatible print for something unexpected or a snake print vs. the bolder. This spring, shake things up by mixing trends already in your closet with a few must haves to achieve the looks. Below are my top 5 favorite trends this season along with the must haves you need to pick up if you don’t already have! Fem Silhouettes: We continue to embrace all things feminine, and this season we will see all silhouettes that embody this. Think a flowy, whimsical fairy tale with the most beautiful pastel floral patterns. Zimmerman is one of my favorite […]

Ferocious Fashion Forecasting: Animal print continues to be a trend that won’t be going away anytime soon … What is fashion forecasting? It’s the study and prediction of fashion based on the past, present and of course the future. To get specific because we love details, according to Wikipedia its the prediction of colors, fabrics, textures, materials, prints, graphics, beauty/grooming, accessories, footwear, street style, and other styles that will be presented on the runway and in the stores for the upcoming seasons. It’s what every designer does to keep up with this fashion world by gathering information from consumers. Anywhere from whats going on globally to what’s effecting consumers directly to predict future trends. And from what I have gathered from those forecasting, animal prints are not going away anytime soon. They are the past, present and future. And why wouldn’t they be? 2018 was a strong year of ferocious, fierce women standing up for what’s right and using their freedom of speech. What print depicts the up roar of women more than the beauty of these animals. Us ladies will continue to be heard while wearing these prints which have been forecasted to take over Spring and Summer and […]

My name is Michelle, and I’m a sucker for Zara . . . Yes, it’s true. I have a problem like most of us do. I’m addicted to Zara. Though to me it can be quite an overwhelming place to shop with all the trends of the season and most of the time just too much to look at. It’s exhausting, yet I keep coming back for more. Like an addict, and the fact that they have kids clothing too?! Done, just take my wallet and all my money. I will just eat rice and beans for the rest of my life with my daughter (true story, that’s all she will eat. sigh). But seriously, what I do love about them is that they do have all the trends and must haves for the season. SO if you are up for the shopping challenge and have an idea of what you are looking for they are, to me, the most practical and affordable place to shop for all the seasons trends that you may not be ready to invest in. So coming from a full time, exhausted working mom little time on her hands, here are a few helpful […]
