It’s official, we have a big sister in training. I knew this day would come, the big girl room transition, I just didn’t think it would all happen so fast. Especially looking back at her nursery reveal post, it feels like just yesterday. Less than two months ago, my little doll baby was sleeping in a crib and wearing diapers like a baby. Today she’s in her very own big girl bed, with big girl sheets and pillows and wearing big girl underwear. She’s even too big for naps now (which was not my choice …). I’ll admit I was a bit apprehensive to begin the transition but with baby boy on the way, it gave me a little push to start nesting all around and settle in to the new norm. To my surprise, she took to it all so well! In fact, she was so excited to go to bed that night to sleep in her big girl bed, it may have been a record breaking “night time routine”. I’ve heard horror stories from friends who have had to sleep by (or in!) their bed until they fall asleep or the hours on end it would take for […]

I’m no expert, by all means, but I was referred an insightful book called “Oh Crap! Potty Training” by Jamie Glowacki and it worked wonders for my little one. In just 3 days we nailed this whole thing which got a lot of friends asking, how?! The book of course goes in to ALL the details, with no question left to ask. The author has dealt with all kinds of personalities and situations which you may too, however she clearly breaks it down how to handle and overcome them all. From poop to those terrible twos and even threes. So again, these are just my major takeaways from the book and what worked for us. Age: Suggests to begin this process within the age of 20-30 months. The younger the more difficult to process and the older, the more constraint. Buy a Potty Training Toilet: They will transition to the big toilet after a month or when they are ready, but having a smaller potty that they can easily run to and assist themselves will help speed up the process. Dedicate a solid 3 days: We started on a Saturday morning and I took Monday off. We didn’t leave the […]

I’ll admit, last year I didn’t get too crazy with Easter. We made a small basket of goodies for her, dressed her up (which we don’t do too often) and went to church. That was about it. Since we have no family around us, celebrating the holidays alone can be a bit underwhelming especially when trying to get in to the spirit of things. However! This year, now that baby girl is almost 2 and functioning more like a human being (more so than she was last year where she could barely walk!) I want to get in to it more. Adaline has been all about dinosaurs the past month. So much that the theme for her 2nd birthday is going to be a dino time! So I only found it fitting to find her more dinosaur goodies to stuff her basket. That and her easter basket is actually a dinosaur! How cute, right? Sharing a quick peak in to our easter basket and the stuffers I thought were perfect for her age (all from Target) along with a few others that I need to jump on before the big day.

Bonjour! I have discovered the chicest baby subscription box. As a blogger I have tried out several subscription boxes. I think the concept is a great idea if done right. Now being a new mom, I have become much more pickier with these boxes. I only want and need the best for my family because quite frankly I have no room left in my house for useless stuff to “try out”. I need well thought out, quality pieces! I discovered My Petite French Box which has excelled in my book as the chicest baby/ toddler box. It’s a fun, educational and stylish gift box for both babies and toddlers shipped directly from France every 2 months! Oh la la. Each box includes full-sized products such as apparel, bilingual books, toys, and more, and sometimes even a surprise for mom! Their products are made by French designers and hand-picked and tested by them with a little note card sent with each product describing the brand and why they chose them. They truly bring a piece of the French Culture in each box, straight to your little ones and you! The last box I received was the Bonjour Box which included the cutest Jacadi romper, a Bilingual picture book, Toi-Même Paris backpack (pictured on Adaline below), Mustela […]
