The Sheer Trend Sheer. Just the word alone can be totally intimidating. When you think of see-through clothing, your mind might quickly jump to riskay lingerie or some kind of costumy piece that you would never wear outside the bedroom. But this season’s hottest new trend was made to be seen and if you style it right, you can even retain some modesty. We’ve been loving the sheer trend but we also aren’t ones to bare all for the world to see. So we have found ways to style these see-through pieces in a way that our mother-in-laws would even approve of. Wear a pretty bralette underneath and make sure that your sheer piece has enough detail to distract the eye from going straight to the goods. I will also throw a blazer over my sheer pieces when I need to be a bit more conservative and then when it’s time for cocktails, the jacket comes off and it’s party time! Back To School Nostalgia

As I scroll through my Instagram and Facebook feed I can’t help but feel a bit of nostalgia as I see all my mommy friends sending their lil’ kiddos off to their first days back to school. With their cute lil’ book bags packed and ready to go, loaded with snacks and school supplies while their parents quietly break down in tears that their baby is growing up too fast. In my case it’s not back to school but back to work I go! And it’s the hubby quietly breaking down in tears as I leave him to fend for his own with baby girl. I was on maternity leave for 4 months which were 4 of the most challenging yet most joyful and rewarding months of my life. With countless, sleepless nights wondering how on earth I would even function during the day. Luckily, her sweet smiles and developing personality kept me going, that and a shit load of coffee. It’s an adrenalin on another level. Now adding all that plus work … it’s about to get a whole lot more interesting. I started work last week and it was tough. The Silver Lining Within Yourself

“Every cloud has a silver lining.” -it’s refreshing to go about life with such optimism and positivity. However it is not always the easiest, I and many others can vouch to this as well. This outfit post inspired me to dig a bit deeper and reflect on myself. I’m sure you have seen this pink wall before. It’s all over IG, we’ve featured it in the past and it won’t be the last that we do because the color is just too fun. Shooting at this location can be awkward at times when you have people constantly watching, driving by, or simply judging you as they’re taking their shots. But then a little boy and his dad approached me and wanted to take a picture with me and in that moment I was reminded of how non serious this is. I am shy and I tend to over analyze and over think anything and everything. I’m one to call out my flaws and unfortunately be more of a “glass half empty” girl at times. MOD Squad

Days have become a bit cooler, leaves have begun to fall and pumpkin spice lattes are being served at every corner coffee shop. All signs that fall has arrived. There is just something about this season that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and make us gravitate towards cozy clothes that you could practically curl up for a nap in. This sweater dress is one of these pieces. I wore this cozy ‘Mod’ look while attending fashion week and while the weather hardly felt like fall at the time, I pushed through anyway (to photograph this look) and came out practically unscathed. All in the name of fashion. I went for a mod look and paired this shift sweater dress with my favorite over the knee boots, round sunglasses and finished the look with a sleek top knot. I hope Twiggy would be proud. This look is easy, requires little to no thought to put together and is perfect for practically any occasion this fall/winter.
