The Sheer Trend Sheer. Just the word alone can be totally intimidating. When you think of see-through clothing, your mind might quickly jump to riskay lingerie or some kind of costumy piece that you would never wear outside the bedroom. But this season’s hottest new trend was made to be seen and if you style it right, you can even retain some modesty. We’ve been loving the sheer trend but we also aren’t ones to bare all for the world to see. So we have found ways to style these see-through pieces in a way that our mother-in-laws would even approve of. Wear a pretty bralette underneath and make sure that your sheer piece has enough detail to distract the eye from going straight to the goods. I will also throw a blazer over my sheer pieces when I need to be a bit more conservative and then when it’s time for cocktails, the jacket comes off and it’s party time! I love this high low, sheer, polka dot number from Zara because it looks great paired with leather leggings or dark denim. The cut and fit is girly while the sheer fabric gives it a flirty aspect. Perfect for […]

I’m not a huge fan of pink but blush is a whole different story. I tend to shy away from super bright colors and like to stick to neutrals that I can wear from season to season. Most of my closet is made up of pieces in shades of black, white, gray and now blush. Call me boring but bright colors just aren’t my thing. I spotted this faux suede bomber while browsing the racks at Zara and totally fell in love and it didn’t hurt that it was under $100. It elevates pretty much any look you wear it with. From denim to dresses, it’s the perfect spring addition. Find my favorite spring blush wardrobe staples by scrolling below. Wearing: Jacket (Zara), Dress (South Moon Under), Sunglasses (Quay), and Sandals (Coach). Photos by Emma Weiss xo Sarah

If you haven’t noticed, dressing sporty is kind of my thing. Whether I am heading to the gym or I am off to have drinks with my friends, dressing with an athletic twist is kind of my thing. I am sure the athleisure movement has contributed to my sporty chic obsession, that paired with the fact that I practically live in my activewear since I spend so much time in the gym. Regardless, adding athletic details to my everyday looks has been my go-to lately. When shopping for new sporty pieces to add to my wardrobe, I try to steer clear from overly trendy items. I have enough clothing as it is with hardly any place to put it, so when I add a piece to my wardrobe, I make sure I will get optimal use out of it. I found this asymmetrical mesh top from VIP ME and have been OBSESSED! I love the mesh details on the shoulders and the long flowy back, which gives it a bit of edge. It looks great with leather pants or ripped denim, I love how versatile it is. This outfit is the perfect balance between masculine and feminine, which I love. I’m […]

I am feeling pretty excited over here because it is finally starting to feel like fall. After a scorching hot summer, I think we are all ready to pack away our summer clothes and pull out our fall wardrobes. Summer is usually my favorite season but after way too many scorching hot days , I have found myself looking forward to fall more than ever this season. Since I was attending New York Fashion Week and was in need of some new looks, I was able to get a jump start on my fall shopping. I do a ton of my shopping online but when I need something last minute, Nordstrom Pentagon City is always my first stop. It is literally less than a mile from my house which has been both a blessing and a curse. They seriously had soo many cute things in for fall that it made it really hard to choose. I am currently on a suede mini kick and thought that this warm honey brown hue really screamed fall, also didn’t hurt that it was only $78. I have also been on the hunt for a button down that had a skinny necktie like this, so when […]
