I do a lot of shopping online but shoe shopping is something that I try to go to an actual store for. Whether I’m looking for a killer pair of heels or a comfortable pair of sneakers, it’s essential to try them on to make sure they fit perfectly. Comfort used to be the last thing I looked for when buying shoes, if they looked good on, then they were coming home with me. After years of wearing painful shoes in my twenties, my priorities have changed when it comes to shoe shopping in my mid-thirties. And that doesn’t mean I’ve given up on fashion all together..please…I just am more conscious of what I buy.
When it comes to comfortable shoes, Comfort One is a staple, in the DC area. Their service, selection, and style makes them an industry leader and I love that they are locally and family owned. I dropped into their newly remodeled store in Old Town to check out some fall boots and was given the full Comfort One treatment. Their staff was very knowledgeable and also led me through a state-of-the-art foot scan to show me where my pressure points were and to recommend the correct size, footbed and shoe I should be wearing. Something I’ve never had done before, it was pretty cool! Tiffany, a Comfort One Shoe Expert, helped me find the perfect pair of moto boots by Earth Brands. They are super comfy and exactly what I was looking for in a moto boot. She also recommended a few other styles by Earth to try on and I surprisingly loved them too!
The styles I tried all had Powerpath® footbeds in them that are designed to enhance the natural movement of the foot and optimize feelings of vitality and wellness throughout your day by absorbing energy, stabilizing the foot and propelling the foot off the ground effortlessly. I also love that this brand gives back! Earth Brands has partnered with Trees.org to plant a tree every time a pair of Earth Brand shoes is purchased and registered online! So cool!
So I guess we finally can have it all. Both style and comfort all in one shoe. Check out Earth Brands for yourself at your local Comfort One store to pick out a fresh pair of kicks for fall!
